Get Ready to "Stretch"

Once I heard this song on Kerryann's facebook group page, I began to sway around the room. "WeKeepit2real" blog site features an audio recording of Mario's super sexy tune, "Stretch," which is accompanied by the photo below. Yes, ladies, it is EXACTLY what you think it is. Grown and sexy music. And, since it's Mario, you know the vocals are not only steamy but of exceptional quality.

To enjoy this tasty song, click the picture ... and grab your boo.

It's time to S-T-R-E-T-C-H.

Showcasing Talent

CJ HILTON

The son of a gospel vocalist, Baltimore, Maryland native CJ comes by his talent naturally. Growing up, the singer honed his enormous talent singing in church. Skipping the traditional talent show route, CJ's skills earned him an immediate signing with Washington, DC-based production company Backwoods, known for their work with R&B favorite Ginwuine, who got him a meeting with Sony headTommy Mattola. After a short stint at Mattola's Casablanca Records, CJ landed at Capitol.

Like many artists, CJ wasn't done label-bouncing, parting ways with that label after three years. He recalls, "They didn't really understand my project." But it wasn't a wasted union -- during his time there, he was fortunate to work with Grammy Award-winning musician Raphael Saadiq. The two remained in contact, which lead to an appearance and writing and producing credit on the track "Never Give You Up." The song was included on Saadiq's 2008 disc The Way I See It and also featured Stevie Wonder, leading CJ to his current deal with J Records.

As if CJs broad range and ability to navigate staccato with ease isn't enough of a draw on his forthcoming as-yet-untitled debut, he's also snagged a band of heavy-hitting producers to bless the project. In addition to Saadiq, the album features contributions from Bangladesh, Salaam Remi and Marsha Ambrosius, among others. On working with Remi, CJ reveals, "Our sessions are really experimental. There are no boundaries really. We just make good music. It's the same with Raphael -- we don't go in trying to come up with ‘the single' or the ‘best song' we just go in and have fun and a lot of times those songs turn out to be the ones that everyone thinks my single should be." Of Ambrosius, he says, "My process with her is a lot different from a lot of other producers because when we work she already has the lyrics and everything together. She's amazing."

A talented writer and producer in his own right, CJ plays multiple instruments -- most of which he learned from his days in church -- and writes most of his music. He draws from his experiences as well as those of his close friends, with topics covering "women, to how hard it is being in Baltimore, going to parties and having fun, just anything." On the track "It Ain't Easy," he talks about a widespread experience facing many young parents; the hardships of dealing with the baby mama. But he notes it's not one-sided. "A lot of my homegirls in Baltimore [go through the same thing]. It's just real-life situations that I hear about all the time." The Bangladesh-helmed lead single, "Slow it Down," offers up the producer's signature East Asian-flavored style. CJ muses, "It's a party joint but it's just exotic, different."

CJ describes his sound as "soulful but young." While he cites influences such as Usher and R. Kelly, he also admires old-school veterans like Stevie Wonderand Marvin Gaye, and he's on a mission to represent old soul from a young perspective. "I don't feel like there are any young soulful dudes, like Musiq Soulchild, John Legend -- I feel like a lot of young cats are scared to do stuff like that. So I wanna be the ringleader and make it happen."

CJ's long-term goals include, of course, winning a Grammy, but also doing more production for other artists. "I love helping people figure out where they wanna go on their album and define themselves. It's fun, because I am a musician and love to create sounds and put stuff together. It's a thrill."

The Shirtless Mario

Mario, an R&B crooner is undoubtedly as sexy as they come. He is remarkably talented and can make any woman swoon. Some men are even known to be affected by the power of his soulful voice.

Today's blog, however, is dedicated to the women out there. To those of us who get weak at the knee just staring at him and to those whose hearts miss a beat at the sight of his rippley muscles, this post is for you.

A word of advice, though, when your heart starts to palpitate, take a steady breath and fan yourself a little.
Enjoy.

More Than a Singer

In my opinion, Mario is the best male R&B singer of his time. Whether revamping Biz Markie's light-hearted classic "Just a Friend" or defining his own signature sound and versatility with "Let Me Love You" and "Starlight," the soulful crooner with a hop flair proves that he is the best in the game. Mario, however, is more than a singer. He is also an active philanthropist.

Since its inception in 2007, Mario's Do Right Foundation has worked tirelessly to transform the lives of children whose parents have fallen to the ravishes of drug addiction. Through financial assistance, mentorship programs, back-to-school giveaways, and other activities, Do Right encourages the youth of Baltimore, Maryland to aspire beyond their circumstances. Although the Foundation coordinates events, Mario makes time to lend his celebrity and take a hands-on approach.

If you are interested in supporting Mario's community outreach endeavor, visit the Foundation's Facebook page and click the "Like" button. You may also spread the word to corporations that would like to partner with Do Right as well as contact the organization itself to make donations. You may even go a step further and emulate Mario's work in your own community.

Each of us can make a difference, and you do not have to possess financial wealth to be an asset. As a classroom teacher, I can attest that local schools and youth groups welcome volunteers, tutors, and mentors. An hour of your time could make a tremendous difference in a child's life.

So, while you are jamming to Mario's latest CD, remember that the youth who endured drug addiction in his family is now a sharp, intelligent man who is devoted to giving the world great music and providing the children in his hometown with a chance at a productive present and a bright future.

...............

I'm a Keith Sweat fan and the first note that Mista Barrett's hits makes me ask, "Keith Sweat who?" LMAO Mario rips this track and makes it his own. Keith Sweat even played Mario's version on his radio show and offered praise for it.

 Right and Wrong Way

Majestic. Longing. Loving. Mario laces the complexities of love with exquisite vocals. [Did you really think I'd go for long without a Mario post? C'mon Son!]

How Could I Break The Heart That Loved Me

This song makes me smile. I don't like buying a CD for one song but I'm going to check his first two CDs for the record. Whichever it is on, I'm am buying! It's a win-win. Mario doesn't do bad music.
Crazy talented! I'm excited about the upcoming album, though. I want to see Mario work with different genres ... however, I also want a track or two like "She Was Her." My jam!

 Never

I love this song!!! I wish Mario would make it big because half of the artists out right now can't sing worth anything. They are all using auto tune and still have no talent..smh.. They need to give Mario a chance... He's a real artist....
Mario...your voice is one of that kind i can  hear all day....and all night

 Thinkin' About You

God Mario is so sexy who wouldn't want to have a three some with him god I go crazy to touch black guys skin they look like they have some smooth ass skin Mua love black guys

1 of my favourate songs on the album! Love the song, but this is my 1st time seeing the video. It completely blew me away from what I imagine {my own lil concept} the video would be! I'm not mad @ Mario tho. He doing his thing & he's grown, still sexy & just took it to a whole nother level that's all. I guess he just wanted to step outside the box from what we usually see from him
